PROJECT

DIPS is larger than the paper

The matrix is the part you can explore. The rest is the project plan and one talk. Plans are not results.

PlanNot in the paper. A plan, not a result.

DIPS in Space is Detecting Intrusions and Protect System. FORCE Technology owns the project. Partners in the application are DTU Electro, the Alexandra Institute, and GomSpace. Duration in the application: 1 August 2025 to 30 November 2026. It is a DIREC catalyst project. Budget figures are not published here.

PlanNot in the paper. A plan, not a result.

The application states three aims: raise awareness of cybersecurity measures, integrate measures in the supply chain, and detect unknown attacks with anomaly methods, including Edge AI on the satellite.

PlanNot in the paper. A plan, not a result.

Planned work, not results. FORCE: a tool to help start-ups map satellite communication protocols and cybersecurity standards; an analysis of the chosen platform; a threat model for ground services, internal communication, and satellite services; a guideline for information security of space systems.

PlanNot in the paper. A plan, not a result.

Planned work, not results. Alexandra Institute: define an Edge AI approach for threat detection, and a pilot architecture aimed at local autonomy and reaction time.

PlanNot in the paper. A plan, not a result.

Planned work, not results. DTU, using GomSpace’s lab: collect bus traces, define features, integrate trained models, build a proof-of-concept intrusion detection and prevention system, and test it on the lab platform.

PlanNot in the paper. A plan, not a result.

People named in the application, without contact details: Christian Kloch and Joachim Fisker (FORCE); Alexandre Alapetite (Alexandra Institute, Edge AI); Michael S. Berger and Henrik Wessing (DTU, detection); Lars K. Alminde (GomSpace).

TalkNot in the paper.

STARM, Satellite Threat Assessment & Risk Mitigation, is the catalog on this site. The entries are the DIPS Threat Inventory. The Cysat talk uses the name. The paper cites the inventory and does not. The project application describes a planned tool for start-ups and does not use the name either.

PaperForthcoming. Table 3 and the detection priorities.

The paper is one output: a threat-to-component map and a detection priority. Authors named on the manuscript: Radheshyam Singh, Ahmed Khan Leghari, Christian Kloch, Gaurav Choudhary, Michael Stubert Berger, and Nicola Dragoni. It is marked forthcoming until there is a venue.
